The
Philippines is considered a home to multiple cultures and traditions that have
drawn international interest. Philippines have the natural scenery, rich
cultural heritage and warm, friendly and talented people would make the staying
more fun and enjoyable. Philippines established a good reputation when it comes
to our interpersonal relations with foreign visitors. They find Filipinos very
hospitable and warm persons which make it more interesting.
One
of the best thing Filipinos can offer are the different festivals that we
celebrate. Philippines is home to hundreds of festivals. Tourists from around
the world travel to witness some colorful and lively festivals such as the
Sinulog Festival in Cebu City and Maskara Festival in Bacolod City. Both of
these festivals for example are one of the famous festivals in the Philippines.
Both feature massive colorful street dances that are usually the highlight. Most
festivals in the Philippines showcase traditional values and cultural
activities during the day and by night time, the streets are filled with mini
stages, sound systems and performers where youngsters start to party rock.
Not
just festivals, but also the beaches where how the sun touch your skin and how
it feels make you say “Aaaah! It feels good!” The white sand, the very clean sea
water, beach parties, gorgeous bikini ladies, and half-naked different cultured
men. All of these are often seen in Boracay which is known as the world-famous
beach. A lot of tourists’ travel-list includes going to Bora (short term for
Boracay). That’s the main serving of Philippines as a tropical country.
One
of the most amazing behavior the Filipinos are proud to be, is how they value
family culture or what we know as “hospitality”. Filipinos love spoiling their guests
with food and comfort. When there is a visitor, they prepare a small food feast
for him. They’ll eat together and share some funny stories. Every Filipinos
would do that to make there visitor feel beloved by everyone.
Everywhere
you go; foods are just popping in front of your two eyes. It’s just abundant
with fruits because during seasons, fruits like mangoes, pineapple, star apple,
coconuts, green mangoes, singkamas, rambutan are already on pick. Not only
fruits are best here in the Philippines, but also the rice pudding that the
elders love to cook. These are different types of malagkit na kanin cooked
in different ways. And also the different seafoods that are cook because there are
lots of fishermen in here, too. The prawn shrimp, crabs, inihaw na isda, squids,
lobster. Yummy! And lastly, the delight of Halo-Halo! Filipino loves food.
And
lastly, the Filipino spirit that all of us have. Every country has that
distinct characteristic that usually serves as the impression of tourists for
the local people. “Filipino spirit” would be defined as warm, caring, and fun. Filipinos
have that extra warmth for the tourists as they are always fascinated seeing
people from other countries. They always welcome guests the best way they can. Even
those who can barely speak English in the streets or markets will do their best
to attend to your needs when you need help.
These
are underrated things in the Philippines that will make your travel worthwhile.
So next time you’re looking for a travel destination, choose Philippines!
Because it’s more fun in the Philippines!
